WOMAN SUES FOR RESCUE

I love a crazy cruise lawsuit story. A woman who got drunk and jumped off her balcony is suing Carnival Corp for taking too long to rescue her.

As reported in Cruise Critic, the woman alleges that she fell, but witnesses say she jumped.

According to her lawyers, a friend immediately reported the incident, while sailing in the Caribbean, but the captain refused to turn around until a 90-minute shipwide search had been conducted. Once rescued from the water, the passenger claims she was only given painkillers to treat her broken bones, lung injuries and blood clots.

My favourite part: she is also accusing Carnival of getting her drunk by “pushing” Long Island iced-tea cocktails on her and giving out free $5 casino coupons each time she purchased more drinks. Good luck, love.
